Do you know the time?

Everyday when I was younger I wore a watch.  I had to be very protective of my watch because if it got hit or wet it could break.  Then one day I said to myself I no longer need a watch.  That decision was a total relief.  I was dependent on my watch for the longest time because I always wanted to know the time.  The day that I gave up my watch was like the day the training wheels were taken off my bike.  For a longest time my wrist has had nothing on it and I can not recall the age that I gave up my watch.  When I gave up my watch I did not walk up to a stranger and ask them for the time.  So for many years I never had any way to tell the time except by clocks in houses and buildings, and looking at my surroundings.  Then one day I had gotten a phone for calling and it is nice to have the time on it in case I am curious.
