Penny On Tails On The Ground Is Bad Luck

People can be superstitious for many reasons.  If a penny is on tails on the ground I have heard that it is bad luck to pick it up.  I wonder how many people would not pick it up for that reason.  For all the people that will not pick up a penny on the ground that is on tails, would you pick up a billion pennies that are on the ground on tails?  I am guessing that you would say it only applies to that one penny not to a billion.  Lots of people would probably turn the pennies over to heads and then pick it up.  I doubt anybody will have to worry about this really happening.  Just something on my mind.
